I’m back
I had such a wonderful time in Washington, D.C. with one of my best friends. Some of y’all might know her, Katrina from Lametgrrls. She was a wonderful host although she had to work all week but that wasn’t a big deal. She still went out of her way to help me every chance she could and make me feel at home. Thank you, thank you, thank you hun!!
Well Sunday I arrived mid afternoon and Trina picked me up from the airport. After we arrived back at her place we headed downtown. She took me on a quick tour of some of the major sites like the White House, the Washington Monument, and the area where the tidal basin cherry trees are. It was so cold that day walking around. We ended up finishing in Dupont Circle at a little Chinese place. She bought me dinner, so sweet of her.
Monday was still pretty cold so I didn’t feel like going out and seeing anything that day. I relaxed at her place all afternoon, watched TV and did a little surfing on the ‘net. She came home from work and cooked dinner
It was so good too! She is a wonderful cook by the way
Tuesday cleared up pretty nice. I originally was headed north of the city on the Metro to go shopping. I got to my destination and it just kinda sucked and it was so beautiful outside I quickly decided to head downtown and do some site seeing and take some pictures. Trina had to go to school that evening after work as well so I had till 8pm to be out. Walked around Washington for a while, walked to the Pentagon in northern Virginia (what a walk!). By the time I got there it was starting to get dark. A perfect time to continue to shop
I ended up at a really nice mall in Pentagon City, named Fashion Center. Did a little shopping, lost track of time and had to tail it back to her place (I had her key). Of course I was really late but she wasn’t angry cause she is the best
Ordered pizza for dinner cause I hadn’t ate all day it was nearly 10pm when I got back.
Wednesday I ran out to Union Station to check out another shopping mall. I’ll tell ya, some of these places are so nice and huge. I wasn’t out for long cause I had to get back. Katrina had bought me a ticket to the Baltimore vs. Boston game so I could go with her and her friends. It was a lot of fun. Especially great since Baltimore was playing the Red Sox, Trina’s favorite team! Boston whooped Baltimore 10-3! It was great, she was soo happy. Then she took me around the parts of DC I hadn’t seen yet in her car. We went through Adam’s Morgan, Georgetown, and some other areas. She was showing me different buildings and the background on them, she is so great
A wonderful tour guide
Thursday morning I had a tour of the Capital set up with my Senator. I called his office a few weeks in advance to set it up. It was pretty cool. I went to work with Trina cause she knew where the office building for the Senators was. The tour was pretty cool. I ended up waiting an hour to get into the Senate Gallery. There wasn’t much to see although I did see Tom Daschle and Ted Kennedy. After that I walked around a different part of DC. The main attraction of the day was the United States Botanical Gardens. There were so many pretty plants and flowers in there. I wanted to see a couple of the Smithsonian Museums but the lines were way too long. I decided to see a few other buildings then I met Trina for lunch before she had to go to school that evening. I was beat down from walking so much so I just stayed at her place while she was at school. Later that night we went out for dinner. We walked around a little bit before we decided on a Asian/Thai place. My dinner was great, and I learned to eat with chopstick’s. I ate the entire dinner with them, I was so happy. Katrina was too.
Friday we left for the airport and now I’m home. A wonderful trip and a much needed vacation. I had such a good time, thank you again Trina, you are wonderful!
Don’t think anything has happened to me. I am safe and in great hands
I am taking a short vacation for a week so I will be offline from today thru next Friday. I’ll still check my email but otherwise I won’t be on to chat.
See y’all in a week, love Erin
Since Saturday I have been sort of cold towards my mom especially. I haven’t been talking to her much or hanging around her like I have been. The others in my family didn’t matter. I never hung out or talked to them anyway so no change there. Today I actually have said more to her then just “hello” and “good night”. I know she noticed but I wasn’t gonna let that remark/comment go without some consequences. I still haven’t put up my pictures yet. I don’t think I will except for a couple of my friends and I and my graduation picture. All others are remaining down.
Other then that, I’m doing okay. I got my Abstract test back today and got an 89 on it. I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t get the A I wanted although I should be happy with that grade either way.
Also, my spring break is coming up next week. Guess what I am gonna do?
I’m actually gonna get out and take a little vacation for once during the break. I’m going up to Washington D.C. to see one of my best friends for the week. I know I am gonna have such a good time. I am really happy about going, and looking forward to seeing her and the city. I think seeing the capital would be fun as well

My name is Erin. I was not always named Erin and I was not always a girl. One could argue that I am not a girl, perhaps a boy or both; maybe neither.
