I finally got around to changing my birth certificate. It’s a pretty painless process in Ontario. At any rate, looking over my original birth certificate, my mother was my age when she had me. That made me feel… something I cannot explain.
w00t, new Social Security Card on the way
I was in and out of there no problem and it only made me 30min late to work. The security guard remembered me from 3 months ago lol. He was like you’re back? I told him why and on my way out he was like, I guess I won’t see you again eh? I was like, nope, I don’t have to come back!
I used the same application that he filled out for me months ago. The one he marked me as female
The woman at the window was like wanting supporting documentation that I had changed my gender… fuck. Oh well, I told her he filled it out for me lol.
One more thing checked off.
Also, today is my sister’s birthday
I need to call her later this evening and send her an e-card today.
My new resident alien card arrived yesterday
Yay! Now I can get my new social security card and finish up everything else. I hate the picture on it though. You can’t smile or frown, have to show your ears and be face forward; ick. Now I’m legally known as Erin the alien
Finally, a new drivers license!
The morning started off really sucky. I got up at 7am so I could be out in Brandon for 9am. It’s weird, there’s an ASC office 10min away from me and they send me to one that is like 30min away… oh well. Somehow I developed a nasty infection overnight or something that is like it. I’d rather not get into the details except that it’s painful and has me scared.
Finally, after about 6 months, tomorrow morning I get to go down to the INS office for fingerprinting and mug shots. I know I won’t get a new card tomorrow but hopefully they can give me some kind of paper work that indicates it’s been done. If they don’t I’m just gonna go to work afterwards (I took tomorrow off). If they do, my next stop is the SSA then the DMV and then the bank. I’m so excited!!!

My USCIS appointment!!!
I recieved the appointment notice Saturday!!! I am soo happy that now I can get my photograph re-taken and re-fingerprinted so that I can get a new/updated green card!!!
What this means is now I can change all my old accounts and info where ever to say Erin … … instead of that crappy other name that I really, really despised. I am soo happy!!! Happy, happy, happy!!!
For those of you that might not of known, I filed my I-90 (Application for a new resident alien card) back in the beginning of October. This was a week, hell not even a week, after my legal name change in Hillsborough County courts.
My appointment is March 17th, 2006 @ 9:00 AM. I am sooo happy!!!

My name is Erin. I was not always named Erin and I was not always a girl. One could argue that I am not a girl, perhaps a boy or both; maybe neither.
