For those of you who care, over 60 pics of yours truely and my faithful companion
in California.
Over all, it was definitely a fun visit and one I would love to make again or make permanent.
I ate some stupid pills before both flights so it did help a lot. It’s just amazing that in a short 6 hr time, I went from the Pacific ocean to the Atlantic. I hate flying but I will admit it definitely kicks driving’s ass.
We left at like 130pm PST and ended up home at 1030pm EST. That time change thing really sucks but was pretty cool while I was over there. This past week has felt more like a vacation then a business trip. If Tori didn’t come, I probably wouldn’t of done nearly half the things I did.
I was happy to be home though. My happiness was dulled during the car ride home though. Tori talking about moving out to San Fransisco in the next 6 months, Danielle is thinking about a change of scenery, probably like Arizona and my other friend Jessica is pissed cause she got demoted and the job she took was the only reason she moved down here. So she is thinking about getting the fuck outta dodge as well.
That’s all great for my friends. After all, you need to do what you need to do but I can’t help but feel left behind. I spent about 2 years down here without any close friends. Then I start to develop a nice little circle. Like things were going along well. Now, everyone is leaving (me) and it sucks. I’m really not sure what keeps me in Florida to begin with either.
Sometimes it can just feel like your little world just imploded.
I only had a half day of training to wrap up the week. I did come out learning new things; I feel it was worth the time so hopefully my boss will be happy with what I bring back.
Afterwards, Tori and I met up with Alison for lunch. She then brought us to Apple where she works. We got a little tour but didn’t see much cause most of the campus is off limits. It was still really cool to be there. Thanks Alison!
We then met up with innerlife_ and optimiss for more of a dinner. We did Mediterranean cuisine. It was my first time eating it and it was really good
It was really cool meeting Kat and Alyx. They are much fun to talk to.
We were gonna go to Santa Cruz today but that never materialized. It’s really not a disappointment though. It was more of a spur of the moment thing. Tomorrow will be spent in San Fransisco doing some shopping and site seeing and being all touristy. Then, Sunday we head back to Florida. I don’t wanna leave because 1. obviously I am afraid of the flight home and 2. I really like it out here. However, I am looking forward to going back home because I miss Danielle and I miss my familiarity. I hope we have a safe flight.
After training Tori took me to Valley Fair mall in Santa Clara. It’s a rather nice mall that rivals Tampa’s best
We ate there and then drove up to San Fransisco on I-280. There were some nice views from the interstate looking down over the lighted cities. San Fransisco was definitely a beautiful view. We drove across the Golden Gate Bridge and then drove up the mountain side to one of the look outs over the bay. We tried a few photos but not sure how they will turn out. It was a fun ride and I got to see most of the main areas of San Fransisco tonight.
Today was rather OK. I spent half of it training and then hit the hotel bar afterwards with Tori. It was a nice relaxing wind down. We then met up with
for dinner at a local seafood restaurant. Alison is such a great woman. Tori and I both enjoyed her company tonight. She’s a beautiful woman with a great personality. I definitely am happy that I got to meet her. Tori and I are hitting up a hockey game tomorrow night (Sharks vs. Stars). Hopefully, another night, Alison and us can get together and have some great sushi cause I love it and would definitely love to hit up a good sushi restaurant here.
Cool, Tori and I took the CalTrain to San Fransico yesterday afternoon. We left at 3pm and got to downtown SF around 5:30 and walked around a bit. Downtown SF is amazing and soo much cooler then any downtown area I have ever been to. We ate at Max’s Diner and it was amazingly tastey food. I had brisket over mashed potatoes in a red wine gravy. Soooo good! We didn’t back to the hotel till about 10:30pm.
What a wonderful afternoon and evening in SF! More to come…
I’m currently in my training class which is going OK. The instructor is cool and not boring so that is a huge plus!

My name is Erin. I was not always named Erin and I was not always a girl. One could argue that I am not a girl, perhaps a boy or both; maybe neither.
